






The Ministry of Construction made clarification on the guidance of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister and work coordination meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
At the event, Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay clarified the instructions of the SAC Chairman Prime Minister at the working coordination meeting on undertakings within 6-month period from 1st February to 31st July 2022.
He said the Prime Minister’s guidance on systematic measures for long-term durability in constructing buildings and bridges and maintenance measures, meeting set standards, landscaping along the roads, systematic drainage system to prevent floods, staff housings for retired men and in-service civil servants as well as affordable housings for people.
In regard with undertakings of the 1st 6-month period of 2022 of the Ministry, the Union Minister stressed on construction of roads, bridges and buildings in line with the set standard within the target time for the state development, the roads and trading routes to transport agricultural products to the market within a short period, construction of basic infrastructures for the private sector development.
The Union Minister called for constructing new roads and bridges in the regions and states if necessary, coordinating with other partner departments for the development of the nation in all sectors, repairing of damaged roads and bridges, thrifty use of public finance in implementing the projects and serving the state responsibilities in line with the Civil Servants’ Code of Conduct, the State Civil Services Personal Law and bylaws.
The Deputy Minister U Win Pe also discussed that the staffs need to follow the existing laws, rules and regulations as well as to carrying out the tasks in line with financial rules and regulations and to be loyal on the state and department and to be free from political parties. Officials also reported on progress of buildings, roads, bridges, urban and housing development in their regions, the difficulties that are faced in the tasks and the needs.
