




Myanma Oil and Chemical Enterprise under the Ministry of Electricity and Energy began directly supplying fuel to farmers in Nay Pyi Taw for summer paddy cultivation starting April 18.
Farmers in Kun Chan, Aye Chan Thar, Pin Thaung villages of Lewe Township, Nga Kaung Kan and Nat Thaye villages of Pyinmana Township, and Kyi Taung, Gyo Pin, Lay Tha villages of Zeyar Thiri Township can purchase fuel at the rate of one gallon per acre, priced at 10,000 kyats per gallon.
Nay Pyi Taw Council members Colonel Ye Moe and U Aung Zeya visited the villages to support farmers buying fuel for summer rice planting. Officials ensured smooth distribution and coordinated to meet farmers’ needs. This year, 28,009 acres are planned for summer paddy cultivation, with 27,572 acres already planted and 5,042 acres prepared, supported with fuel for land preparation.
