





President U Min Aung Hlaing received a Chinese delegation led by Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Foreign Minister Mr. Wang Yi in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.
During the meeting, the President expressed gratitude for the congratulatory message by President Xi Jinping following his election as President. He reaffirmed Myanmar’s commitment to further developing bilateral relations and cooperation with China.
The visiting Foreign Minister conveyed Chinese President's congratulations and expressed that sending a congratulatory message and sending a delegation to attend the oath-taking ceremony, demonstrates China’s respect and recognition toward Myanmar and its people.
He also expressed confidence that under his leadership, Myanmar will achieve long-term development and progress, promoting the social and economic condition of the two peoples. He also pledged to maintain China's support for Myanmar on the international stage. The two sides made discussions on improving diplomatic relations, enhancing cooperation in various areas, maintaining peace and stability along the border regions, facilitating trade and commerce, supporting domestic security and social harmony, and promoting sustainable development.
China affirmed its continued support in Myanmar’s reconstruction efforts in areas affected by the Mandalay earthquake, and pledged to strengthen collaboration in international relations, ASEAN affairs, energy, minerals, agriculture, technology, and combating online fraud. Both sides emphasized deepening mutual trust, friendship, and joint efforts to benefit the peoples of both countries.
