French Minister announces reopening of flood-hit motorway near Lyon

French Deputy Minister of Transport announced the A47 motorway near Lyon will reopen after heavy rain. Rail transport, which has also been affected by the bad weather, will partially resume on Monday.

He said that work is also underway, with surveys being carried out on the entire rail network. The combined action of the state services and obviously the local authorities prevented much more serious accidents, he added.
