Food security in Gaza

Urgent actions are needed in addressing the hunger crisis that has hit the Gaza strip. In Gaza, famine could break out anytime and the entire population is suffering from acute food insecurity.

A statement by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East released on Wednesday also highlighted the rapidly deteriorating food security conditions in northern Gaza since last October’s initial assessment.Food and Agriculture Organization has been working closely with other UN agencies on aid delivery.
