Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Friday that the Japanese side must engage in full coordination with stakeholders and put in place a long-term monitoring arrangement as soon as possible to avoid irrevocable consequences stemming from the ocean discharge of Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water.
He made the remarks while commenting on Japan’s sixth round of release of nuclear-contaminated wastewater from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Ocean which started on Friday.
