Fish farmers face difficulties as Tra fish prices decline

In the first six months of 2023, Vietnam's seafood export turnover reached nearly 4.2 billion USD, with Tra fish exports accounting for only 885 million USD. Moreover, developments in the global market have caused Tra fish farmers to face many difficulties, such as high prices of feed, fingerlings, and other input costs.

The turnover of Tra fish has decreased sharply in the first six months of this year due to the declining US market. However, the Chinese market is showing signs of improvement.
