The First Aid is needed to learn everyone including drivers who can face traffic accidents, employees and supervisors in the factories.
An official of Myanmar Red Cross Society said that the first aid training is mainly conducted to members of Myanmar Red Cross Society and volunteers. They also open trainings for students, teachers from basic education schools and communities as well as employees at factories for the work site safety and for drivers in case of accidents. In conducting trainings, there are three steps; basic, ordinary and trainer levels.
Prof. Dr Htin Zaw Soe, General Secretary, Myanmar Red Cross Society said "In the factories and workshops, the accidents can happen in any time. The trainings are conducted in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Law, 2019 for the safety of employees. Likewise, the drivers should know the First Aid for taking care of injured persons when the accidents happen. According to the First Aid Policy, we also have to coordinate with the Road Transport Administration Department to issue driver licenses to people after completing the first aid training. We are also giving trainings to employees in the ministries like education and health staff as well as tour guides of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism."
Myanmar Red Cross Society said everyone needs to learn the first aid skills as it can save the people lives in case of emergency when the accidents happen.
