Fire Hotspot and Haze Monitoring :Technical equipment handover ceremony

The Department of Environmental Conservation hosted the technical equipment handover ceremony for Fire Hotspot and Haze Monitoring in conjunction with the Technology Management Skill Training on Friday with the support of the Thailand-Myanmar Transboundary Haze Pollution Management Project (Phase 2).

Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Min Thu, together with concerned officials and Thailand delegation led by Ambassador Mr. Mongkol Visitstump attended the event. The Thai Ambassador reported on the further bilateral cooperation between the two nations during the ceremony, followed by a speech of thanks from the Deputy Minister for Thailand’s generous support.

The Thai Ambassador then handed over the donated equipment to the Deputy Minister. The Myanmar delegation also offered commemorative gift to Thailand delegation in return. Then, both the delegation and invited guests toured the computer control room and observed the training in fire hotspot and haze monitoring.
