Financial Stability: Central Bank of Myanmar Issues a Press Release

The Central Bank of Myanmar issued a press release on 3rd February that rumours on withdrawal of 5,000 kyats and 10,000 kyats currency notes and fake news on the closure of the banks have been come out depending on the current situations, it is learnt.

Due to these rumours, some people raised concern and made cash withdraw at the banks. The Central Bank of Myanmar is paying emphasis on stability of financial system and so also, the banks are giving services firmly in line with regulations.

People are requested not to concern on the financial and banking services and to continue to use in trust. Banks have also been instructed to operate banking services as usual, the Central Bank of Myanmar said.
