Financial Secretary’s visit to Saudi Arabia

Financial Secretary Paul Chan will be visiting Saudi Arabia next week to attend the Future Investment Initiative and will give a speech introducing the Global South to the role of Hong Kong under the Belt and Road Initiative.

This as two Hong Kong exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, are to be listed in the Middle Eastern country with the aim of attracting local investors. The eighth Future Investment Initiative will be organised by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The event will start on Tuesday and last for three days in Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. The theme this year is “investing in the moment, creating the future”.
