



The opening ceremony for the Public Financial Management Special Upgrading Training Course No. (9), was held at the Public Financial Management Training School under the Budget and Accounts Department of the Ministry of Planning and Finance in Nay Pyi Taw on February 10.
At the ceremony, Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw stated that in order to keep pace with today's advancing world, it is necessary to strengthen country's public financial management system. Only then can the country's limited resources be effectively, efficiently, and accountably utilized for implementing national development projects that benefit the people.
He urged the trainees attending this course to diligently study the subjects and practical lessons related to public financial management and to apply them in their respective departments and organizations. He encouraged them to strive to learn in order to effectively support competent public service operations for the nation's development etc.
The Public Financial Management Special Upgrading Training Course No. (9), which is now opened, is attended by 38 director-level officials responsible for planning and finance from various ministries and organizations. The training period will last for 5 weeks, it’s reported.
