Financial Issues: SAC Chairman addresses Financial Commission’s meeting

Chairman of the State Administration Council [SAC] Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in his capacity as Chairman of the Financial Commission presided over the meeting 2/2022 of the Commission.

In his remarks during the meeting at the Office of Chairman of the State Administration Council on Thursday, the Senior General said the meeting was to approve the Union, state and regional supplemental budget requests and to forward the 2022-2023 fiscal year Union budget allocation bill approved by the Financial Commission to the State Administration Council through the Union Government.

It is necessary to effectively use the supplemental budget granted by the state for regional development and the economic development of the state. Works are underway to establish the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises development fund.

Also, Vice Chairman of the Financial Commission Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win clarified the verification of supplementary budget requests. And, Secretary of the Commission Union Minister U Win Shein clarified supplemental budget account, revised budget and the Union's additional appropriations bill.

Attendees also made discussions on completion of works on time and implementation of national projects and requirements. In his response, the Senior General urged the attendees to actually implement the activities with the requested budget, to make the country become an exporter, to carry out environmental conservation activities, not to waste water in agriculture and to reduce fuel consumption.

During the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 fiscal years, agriculture and rural development activities will be promoted in order to rapidly improve the socio-economic lives of the people, the Senior General added.
