Film star Angelina Jolie in surprise Ukraine visit

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie made a surprise visit to the Lviv region in Ukraine on Saturday. She visited a medical institution and talked to staff and local officials about the impact of the conflict on their lives.

She also met children caught up on the railway station near Kramatorsk, according to the head of Lviv regional state administration.

Jolie was a Goodwill Ambassador for the office of the UNHCR from 2001 until 2012, when she was made a Special Envoy. However, it is believed she traveled to Ukraine in a private capacity.
