






Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met with film producers and industry professionals on Sunday in Bahan Township to discuss the development of Myanmar’s film industry.
The Union Minister addressed the current challenges in film screening and production, emphasizing the need for a coordinated system involving the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, producers, and cinema owners to ensure smooth screening processes. He also highlighted government efforts to support industry growth.
The Chairman of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization and officials reported on the difficulties they face in work undertakings.
Earlier in the day, the Union Minister, together with the Chairman of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, met with entrepreneurs who expressed interest of proposal for the “Film City Project” to be implemented in Hlegu Township, encouraging them to prioritize arts-based initiatives and follow set guidelines.
