








Union Minister for the Ministry of Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Resilient and Progressive Community, along with Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and Nay Pyi Taw Council members, visited and showed support for the field medical treatment services being provided by specialist doctors from the 300-bed People's Hospital (Nay Pyi Taw) and the 100-bed People's Hospital (Tatkone) in Ohn Pin Village, Tatkone Township on October 25.
First, the work committee team led by the Union Minister visited the Mingalar Yan Aung Monastery in Ohn Pin Village, Tatkone Township. They observed and supported the healthcare services being provided by a health team, including senior specialist doctors, to local residents from Ohn Pin Village and surrounding villages, as well as the distribution of consumer goods and medicines.
They also presented and donated Buddha images and 2026 calendars published by the Ministry of Information to the local residents. Later, during a meeting with the village residents, Union Minister stated that the State media continuously releases information and shares knowledge in accordance with the procedures of the National Natural Disaster Management Committee.
Additionally, in collaboration with artists, they are organizing entertainment programs in disaster-affected areas to provide sympathy, support, and morale boosting. He urged rural residents to collaborate with the State in developing a stable, peaceful, and strong community for the comprehensive development of their regions.
Subsequently, they inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the 300-foot-long reinforced concrete stream-crossing bridge over the Lay Nge creek on the Ohn Pin - Taung Bo Thar inter-village road, and Pwe Zar Water Diversion Weir, which were damaged by Typhoon Yagi.
Following this, the Union Minister visited the Thar-Kho-Taung Maha Atula Lawka Yan Aung Pagoda to pay homage. He offered flowers, scented water, and oil lamps, and donated funds for the all-round renovation of the pagoda to the responsible pagoda trustee.
Afterwards, necessary support and arrangements were provided to develop the historic Thar-Kho-Taung area into a local tourist destination, combined with the Nyaung Pin Tha Resort, to attract tourists, thereby creating job opportunities and increasing income in the region. It is learned that the Thar-Kho-Taung Maha Atula Lawka Yan Aung Pagoda is located in Ohn Pin Village, about 20 miles east of Tatkone Township, and is a historical site.
