






The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, along with relevant officials, conducted a field inspection in Shwe Aik (Shwe Pyithar) Ward on March 18. The inspection was part of ongoing efforts to develop Myitkyina, the capital City of Kachin State, into a clean, beautiful, and green city while ensuring its development aligns with its status as the state capital.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed the construction progress of a fenced administrative office in Shwe Pyithar Ward, where land had been designated for the project. He also examined the development of a large parking area, covering eight acres, being managed by the City development committee. This parking facility is intended to accommodate around 100 cargo trucks. Necessary discussions and coordination were carried out with relevant department officials to address any issues.
Following this, the Chief Minister and party visited Shwe Aik Ward, where they coordinated efforts to upgrade internal roads as part of the neighborhood’s development initiatives.
Later, at the State Government Office, the Chief Minister led a coordination meeting on dredging operations for the Ayeyawady River to prevent flooding in Myitkyina. Attendees included state government members, members of the dam and water barrier construction committee, and other relevant officials.
During the meeting, the chairman of the dam and water barrier construction committee delivered remarks, followed by a speech from the Chief Minister. Officials from the State Department of Water Resources and Development of River Systems, along with state ministers and representatives from state-level departments, discussed collaboration with private companies involved in sand and gravel excavation to ensure the effectiveness of flood prevention measures.
The Chief Minister emphasized that all tasks should be carried out in accordance with proper procedures and ensured that necessary adjustments and collaborations were made to address any challenges.
