False Claims: No bomb attack in Mitan Village, Kawkareik Township

A ground investigation has refuted a fake news report circulating on social media alleging a bomb attack on a village school and houses in Mitan Village, near Kyaikdon, Kawkareik Township of Kayin State on February 1st.

The investigation found no evidence of an air force operation in Kawkareik Township on that day. It is asserted that the misleading information is being spread by destructive media outlets supporting terrorists to create misunderstanding among the public.
