






Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited the Pharmaceutical Factory (Inyaung) in Kyaukse Township of Mandalay Region, on Saturday to inspect renovation works and preparations to resume intravenous (IV) fluid production after earthquake damage to the facility.
The Union Minister met with the factory officials to review the causes of earthquake damage to the IV fluid Manufacturing Department. He stressed the need to follow the Myanmar National Building Code – 2025 to prevent future incidents in earthquake-prone areas.
The Union Minister emphasized that the Ministry’s pharmaceutical factories must plan to increase output even during disruptions. Following the Head of State’s guidance, the production of basic and new medicines will be expanded through systematic planning and public-private partnerships.
The Union Minister also highlighted the importance of continuous human resource development and professional management to improve quality and efficiency. He also urged factory officials to regularly review operations and strive to meet this fiscal year’s production targets.
