
The French government announced Wednesday that people will no longer have to wear face masks on public transport, starting from Monday.
Health Minister Olivier Veran said that the decision was part of a policy to lift most restrictions, as the pandemic slows down in the country.Wearing face masks will no longer be needed on metros, buses, trains and domestic flights, but they will still be required in hospitals and nursing homes. The European Union will also no longer require masks to be worn at airports and on planes starting next week, amid the easing of coronavirus restrictions across the bloc.
