Extension of Festival Days :Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival Days extended

The Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival, a prominent festival in Shan State, was announced to be held from October 29 to November 5, 2025, for hot air balloon enthusiasts and the public.

However, according to current weather conditions, it has been learned that the scheduled number of large night balloons and Sein-Na-Pan balloons could not be launched on their designated competition days. Therefore, the launch of competing large night balloons and Sein-Na-Pan balloons remains pending.

Out of respect and recognition for the passion, dedication, financial investment, and time-consuming efforts of the competing hot air balloon artisans participating in the Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival, and to allow hot air balloon festival enthusiasts and the public to continue viewing and supporting the artistic creations of the large night and Sein-Na-Pan balloons meticulously crafted by these artisans, the hot air balloon competition will be extended.

It will continue from November 5th to November 7th. Furthermore, it has been learned from the Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival Organizing Committee that the festival closing ceremony will be grandly held on the evening of November 8th. This will feature the award presentation for competing hot air balloons, the launch of honorary Sein-Na-Pan and large night balloons for the festival, and fireworks displays.

It has also been announced for the information of hot air balloon festival fans that, alongside the extended Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival hot air balloon competition, famous singers from Yangon and the renowned comedy duo brother music group will perform on November 5th and 6th, presenting modern music and upbeat songs.
