Export Sector: Plans to Export farming marine products to China

Plans are underway to export farming marine products to China legally. During January next year, China will verify Myanmar marine products through via online and if verification process is completed, farming marine products will be exported to China.

Nyunt Win,,Director,,Department of Fisheries, said " In Thaninthayi Region, Striped cat fishes and Panamei white shrimps farming are promoted.  Currently, there are thousands of acres of farming of Panamei white shrimps and it is produced over 6 tons per acre. The Panamei white shrimps can farm 3 times per year."

Before, Myanmar is exporting natural marine products to China legally.   Currently, the Department of Fisheries with the cooperation of Myanmar Fisheries Federation and related departments are implementing to sign Protocol Agreement between the two countries to export farming marine products.
