Export Product: Human hair price is high in local market

Human hair includes in one of the export products of Ayeyawaddy region and it was exported to China via Muse before. Now, due to the changing of market situations, foreigners and foreign countries buy the hair directly from local human hair dealers. Around 4 or 5 years ago, the minimum hair price was around 100,000 kyats to 600,000 kyats for one viss and now, the hair price becomes high.

The hair raw materials are washed by soap and dried in the sun. After that, they are separated according to short or long sizes. The buyers buy the hair with the weighing of viss in the local markets and sell with kilo in the foreign markets. In foreign markets, the hair is widely used for making fake beards and moustaches, Synthetic hair , wigs and accessories for music and film Industries as well as funfairs.
