







On 19th June, Mandalay region Government arranged an excursion to the landmarks of Mandalay region for 691 trainees from the University of Nursing, Nursing Training School, Midwifery Training School in Mandalay, Nursing Training School (Meiktilar) and Midwifery Training School (Pyin Oo Lwin).
Dr. Khin Win Sein, Rector, University of Nursing Mandalay said "There are 691 trainees from different training schools. The trainees are always in the classrooms and now, they can meet their seniors and juniors from other training schools. I see that they are very happy and they can share their knowledge and experiences with each other."
During the excursion, the trainees visited to landmarks such as Yadana Pon Garden, Myanan San Kyaw Royal Palace, the Mahar Law Ka Marazein Kuthodaw Pagoda (list of UNESCO World Heritage Site), Maha Myat Muni pagoda, Werawsana Jade pagoda and, Taungthaman Lake and U Bein bridge.
San San Oo, Principal, Nursing Training School Mandalay said "According to the observation of Mandalay’s landmarks, the trainees can gain the knowledge. And then, they can also improve motivation when they learn their lessons. I want to say thanks to the government for this excursion and provide the needs of our universities. All of the trainees are encouraged to become the great nurses and midwifery after the trainings."
Trainee said "In this excursion, there are many trainees not only from our training school but also from others. We can share the new ideas with each other. I would like to thank to the government for the excursion like this."
Trainee said "I’m very excited for this excursion and I’m happy to go out with my friends and meet the trainees from other universities. It’d be great if we can join excursions like this more often."
At the excursion, the Chief Minister of Mandalay region, U Maung Ko and members met the trainees at Yadana Pon Garden in the morning and at the Yadana Pon Hall in the evening and enjoyed the performances of the trainees.
