
Aircraft activity continued at Kabul international airport on Monday as the deadline for evacuations - Aug. 31 - draws closer. The Dutch Defence Ministry says it has completed nine flights out of Kabul to airports in the region since the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, more evacuees landed in the UK from Afghanistan early Tuesday morning. Britain is urging the United States to extend its evacuation effort in Kabul beyond the current Aug. 31 deadline.
