European Parliament condemns mass migrant crossing into Spain's Ceuta

The European Parliament on Wednesday adopted an amendment condemning the mass migrant influx into Spain's enclave of Ceuta and demanding an independent investigation. The amendment used terms such as "attack" and "invasion" to frame the incident as one involving the EU's southern border.

The probe aims to clarify responsibilities regarding the planning, execution, and purpose of the mass crossings, which saw tens of thousands arrive from Morocco.
