Ethnic Center: Construction of the facility in Dawei inspected

Union Minister for Border Affairs and Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, accompanied by the Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister, Deputy Minister for Ethnic Affairs and officials, visited the construction site of Ethnic Center in SanChi Ward of Dawei on 17th August.

An official from the construction company reported on the progress of construction and the Chief Minister made elaboration. Upon completion, the Ethnic Center will host the activities including ethnic cultural festivals, commemorative events, vocational training courses and educative talk shows.

The Union Minister then stressed the necessaries and inspected the construction site. The Ethnic Center, being implemented by the Ethnic Literature and Culture Department, is a two-storey RC building with the fund of Tanintharyi Region Government.
