Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint gave guidance to officers promoted to the rank of Deputy Director and Assistant Director.
In this meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw, the Union Minister said that special attention must be paid to dealing with ethnic issues. Government employees must be free from party politics, follow the ethics, the State Administration Council’s 5-point road map and 9 objectives and try to implement them.
The Ministry has to take care of literary, cultural and ethnic rights issues. The Union Minister also stressed the importance of issuance of National Registration cards for the upcoming multiparty democracy election.
Also, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung urged the promoted employees to always strive to improve their skills and understand the 2008 Constitution, the Ethnic Rights Protection Law and by-law and the Civil Service Law and by-law. After giving guidance, the Union Minister held talks with the promoted officials and had a lunch together.
