Ethnic Affairs: Safeguarding and Development of Ethnic Cultures

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint met with the Ethnic Literature and Culture organizations in Taninthayi Region on Saturday.

The Union Minister discussed that it is needed to make constant efforts for safeguarding and development of national races’ languages, literatures, arts, culture, traditions and customs, national characters and heritages.

He added that the government is striving for socio-economic development of the least development areas of national races.

He urged all cooperation of all concerned persons in national reconciliation and peace process since the development works can be accelerated only when the peace is prevailed in the region.
