Environmental greening: MOHT held monsoon season tree growing ceremony

The Ministry of Hotel and Tourism’s 2021 Environmental Greening Activity Monsoon Season Tree Growing Ceremony was held near the plant nursery of the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw at 9 a.m. on Friday and the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn and wife attended the ceremony and planted Gantgaw tree.

Next, the Directors-General and their wives, Deputy Directors-General, officials and staff members planted the trees at the designated places and the union minister and party encouraged them.

During the ceremony, totalling 365 trees of different species were planted.

Afterwards, the Union Minister cheered the final matches of Table Tennis and Sepak Takraw competition organized by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

Then, the prize presenting ceremony followed and the Union Minister gave an opening remark and the officials and their wives presented prizes to the winners.

Next, the union minister awarded the first prize winner Sepak Takraw team and the first prize winner of Table Tennis (men, single) and the wife of the Union Minister presented the first prize winner of Table Tennis (women, single).

The sports competition of the ministry was held on 1st and 2nd July and a total of 42 athletes including 37 men and 5 women from the minister’s office and departments participated in the competitions.
