Environmental Conservation: 4th Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony in Magway Region

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the 4th Monsoon Season Tree Planting Ceremony on August 28, in Nankatkyun Village, Magway Township.

The event aimed to promote environmental conservation, reforestation, and climate balance. Around 800 people including departmental officials, Tatmadawmen, teachers, students, and local residents, participated in the activity, A total of 1,000 trees including 11 native tropical species of teak, mahogany, and ironwood were planted during the event.

This was the fourth tree planting ceremony of the year. The Chief Minister encouraged public participation in planting and protecting trees, highlighting it as an investment for future generations and a national duty.
