Entering into Legal Fold: 11 men entered legal fold with weapons and ammunition

On the morning of April 20, a ceremony to welcome 11 men, who had been members of so-called PDF groups and had come to understand the state and military's peace processes, as they entered the legal fold along with their weapons and ammunition was held at the Aye Chan Phyo Hall of the Southern Regional Command.

Responsible officials welcomed them and handed them over to their parents or guardians. The 11 men who returned to the legal fold came from various Townships in Bago Region including 2 from Paungkaung Township, 1 from Nattalin Township, 2 from Minhla Town, and 6 from Nyaunglebin Township, totaling 11 individuals.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Regional Commander, Brigadier General Thura Zaw Lin Soe, district and township level responsible officials, those who had entered the legal fold, their parents or guardians, and invited guests.

First, the Regional Commander delivered an address to provide guidance and awareness to those who had entered the legal fold. Afterwards, those who had returned to the legal fold handed over the weapons and ammunition they had brought with them.

The Regional Commander and responsible officials accepted them and then provided cash rewards and relief supplies. One of the individuals who had returned expressed his gratitude. Subsequently, they signed commitment pledges and were formally handed over to their parents or guardians. The event concluded with friendly greetings to the attendees and refreshments being served, it’s reported.
