Ensuring Healthy Society : Activities for Nutrition Promotion Weeks

A ceremony to mark 2025 Nutrition Promotion Weeks and School Health Week was held at the City hall of Taunggyi on Sunday. Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung delivered an opening speech, saying that it is necessary to consume nutritious foods to be healthy, and urged all to cooperate in the nutrition promotion and school health activities to accelate the momentum.

Then official from Department of Public Health and Treatment  elborated the activities, followed by screening of a video clip  commemorating the nuturition promotion weeks. Afterwards, the Chief Minister and officials presented prizes to the winners from essay competition, Healthy Cooking Contest and best breast feeding Contest. Later, the Chief Minister and party participated in provision of Vitamin-A tablets for children aged under 5-year, vitamins for pregnant women, folic acid tablets  for teenage girls and viewed around the booth displayed in the hall.
