Enrollment Day: Ceremony At Basic Education High School No.4 In Ahlone

Yangon Region’s Department of Basic Education under the Ministry of Education held a School Enrollment Day Ceremony at the Basic Education High School No.4 in Ahlone Township on Monday. This Ceremony for the Academic Year of 2021-2022 began with students singing the song titled ‘Khaung Laung Tan Cho Ar Man Po’.

It continued with remarks by Chairman of Yangon Region Administration Council U Hla Soe, and, also explanation about the school enrollment. In this Ceremony, Chairman of the Yangon Region Administration Council U Hla Soe and many other officials presented school textbooks and books to an education officer, headmistresses and headmaster. Masks were also provided for COVID-19 prevention.

Deputy Director, Department of Basic Education, Yangon Region, Sein Win said “This year, School Enrollment date is from the 24th of May to the 31st of May, and, basic education high schools, monastic schools and private schools across the country will open on the 1st of June. There are COVID-19 prevention guidelines. Masks, face shields and teaching aid including textbooks, books, pencils and pens will be provided for free. Students, parents and teachers need to cooperate for educational development.”

This School Enrollment Day Ceremony at the Basic Education High School No.4 in Ahlone Township concluded with teachers and students singing the song titled ‘Zar Ti Man’. In Yangon Region, there are over 1 million students and 2,757 basic, middle and high schools.
