Engineering council meeting: 3rd meeting of MEC patrons and EC members held

The patron of Myanmar Engineering Council Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than and patron members, council chairman Dr. Aung Kyaw Myat and members of executive committee attended the 3rd meeting between the patrons of Myanmar Engineering Council and members of council executive committee held at the council’s meeting room, Lanmadaw Township, Yangon Region, in the morning on June 8.

First, the council chairman clarified the implementations of the executive committee members and detailed plans to be implemented.

The patron of Myanmar Engineering Council Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than said that according to the section-45 of Myanmar Engineering Council Law, council members, EC members and members of related working groups who are not the public servants must be deemed to be as the public servants during they are serving the responsibilities.

As they also are the public servants, they need to serve for the interest of the people and the country. In the efforts for uplifting the morality, ethics and capacity of engineers, technical experts and skillful technicians, they should be raised to the Individual Level, Institutional Level and the Systemic Level.

Among the engineers in the country, some of them should be turned out as the Consulting Engineers. Next, the patrons of Myanmar Engineering Council discussed the council’s future work plans and the council chairman gave a speech of conclusion.
