






Opening ceremony of the Energy Management Training Course took place in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. The training course is opened under pilot project for effective energy utilization in foodstuff sector, implemented by Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2023.
Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than attended the event together with Minister Counselor of the Embassy of China in Myanmar Dr. Zheng Zhihong, the Directors General and concerned officials. Speaking at the occasion, the Union Minister said the training course is conducted for acceleration of product production with fewer expenses through effective utilization of energy in workshops and industries.
The Union Minister added that four knowledge sharing sessions on effective usage of energy and one Energy Management Training Course were conducted. Emphasizing the vital role of energy for the development of industry sector with its limited resources, the Union Minister urged all stakeholders to manage energy consumption, without any waste.
He added that the Ministry is striving for effective energy utilization across the country through adopting policies on national energy efficiency and conservation and using renewable energy for healthier and cleaner natural environment. The trainees are urged to use their knowledge learnt during the training period at their respective working field.
During the two-day training, experts from local and China will conduct knowledge on adjusting steamed boiler system, green refrigerants for green cooling, energy management on air-conditioning system and evaluating renewable energy. A total of 60 trainees within Nay Pyi Taw are attending the training.
