Endangered Baby Porpoise Spotted in South Korea

A baby finless porpoise, an internationally endangered species, has been spotted in Hallyeohaesang National Park on South Korea's southern coast.

Sightings of finless porpoises have been increasing over the past four years. Despite being a protected marine animal since 2016, many still die as bycatch. The Korea National Park Service plans to inform fishermen and increase patrols to protect their habitats.
