Emerging outstanding athletes: Vovinam Coach Training Course concluded

2022 Vovinam coach training course jointly opened by the Sports and Physical Education Department of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Myanmar Thaing Federation was concluded at the Gold Camp, Sports Training Complex in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

In his speech, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan said that 19 athletes from vovinam sport competed in the 31st Southeast Asian Games 2022 held in Vietnam and 3 golds, 3 silvers and 6 bronze medals, totaling 12 medals were grabbed and the vovinam sport ranked the 2nd position according to the nation. 

The Union Minister urged the coaches to nurture new generation athletes, strive for emerging outstanding athletes who can reliable for the state and to improve vovinam sport to get more achievement.He called on the trainees to share the knowledge learned from the course when they return back to their regions.

The Union Minister then presented certificates of honour to 2 female trainees on behalf of all.In the evening, the Union Minister enjoyed the 2nd semi-final event of Inter-ministry U-2 Men’s Football Tournament 2022 at the Wunna Theikdhi Sports Ground.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Transport and Communication will compete the third place playoff at 3 pm on 1st September. The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Defence will play the final match on 2nd September.
