
The Union Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development U Hla Moe said that the rural infrastructure development tasks as well as the works uplifting agro-livestock based production cooperative sector integrating small and medium industrial enterprises are being implemented at the coordination meeting on the emerald green village project held via Video Conferencing System on August 16.
The Union Minister added that the emerald green village project covers 22% of villages across the nation and is benefited for over 8 million rural populations.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, loan interest rate relaxation and prompt loan disbursement were arranged. The efforts will be put together with the relevant responsible persons for the achievement of project works.
Next, the director-general of the department of rural areas development U Khant Zaw clarified the implementation of emerald green village project in 12,084 villages in 289 Townships from 2014-2015 fiscal year to date, 298.11 billion Kyats of capital investment put by the state for the implementation of agriculture, livestock breeding, rural water supply, rural electrification, rural industries, micro commerce and other works of earning for living etc.
After reporting the implementaion of the project by the Regions and States Head Officers via Video Conferencing System, the Union Miniser tended the requirements.
