Embassy of Honduras inaugurated in Beijing

Honduras inaugurated its embassy in Beijing on Sunday. At the ceremony, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang and visiting Honduran Foreign Minister Enrique Reina jointly unveiled the nameplate of the embassy of the Republic of Honduras in Beijing.

Qin said that the establishment of diplomatic relations on the basis of the one-China principle has opened a new era of China-Honduras relations. China opened an embassy in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa this week.

On Friday, Honduran President Xiomara Castro arrived in Shanghai for a five-day visit to cement the relationship and will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Castro is expected to sign a host of agreements during her visit.
