


Concerned ministries have been making efforts to supply the electricity demand in the country from available energy sources. Thapyaywa Solar Power Plant located on the 133.44 acres of land near Thapyaywa village in Thar-Si Township of Mandalay region has been producing power.
The Plant is the second solar power plant in Myanmar. That produces power for over 200,000 hours KW per day and about 66 million hours KW per year. With the 4-mile long 33 KV double sky cable, the electric power is distributed to the country’s electric system through the 230 KV main Thapyaywa power station.
It’s learnt that new solar power projects will be implemented near the Thapyaywa Solar Power station for transition of more solar power.
