







Chairman of the Electricity and Energy Development Commission, Union Minister at the Ministry (1) of the President’s Office, U Tin Aung San, inspected the power plants using natural gas and waste energy, on Sunday.
At the briefing hall of the power plants conducted by Myanmar Ahlone Power Plant Co., Ltd and Toyo Thai Power Myanmar Co., Ltd in Ahlone Township, the Union Minister heard reports on the brief history, power consumption and distribution and maintenance works, in which he urged to maintain the machines systematically, to run the facility at its full capacity and fulfill the energy requirement.
He also added that it is necessary to increase power generation from natural gas and waste-energy power plants to ensure continuous electricity distribution in Yangon Region. Then they inspected the power distribution of the plants and presented the fruit baskets to the staff.
After that, the Union Minister and party visited the power plants in Thaketa Township where officials reported on the current status of the plants. Upon the reports, the Union Minister urged to ensure the capacity of the machines and workplace safety.
Next, they observed the operation of plants and distribution of electricity, and instructed the needs. Natural gas and waste-energy power plants in Ahlone and Thaketa townships are distributing 428 Megawatt electricity in Yangon city through the National Grid Network.
