Electoral Affairs: UEC Makes Announcement 141/2025

Union Election Commission (UEC) made the Announcement 141/2025 on the 28th of October, 2025, stating that the Union Election Commission announced in its Announcement 56/2025, dated 20 August 2025, that a total of 102 townships would take part in Phase I of the multiparty democracy general election, which is scheduled to commence on 28 December 2025.

Phase II of the multiparty democracy general election will be held on Sunday, 11 January 2026. A total of 100 townships where the second phase of the election will be held have been designated.
