Election Observation : More international observers arrived for the election

The 2025 multiparty democracy general election is scheduled to commence as Phase-1 on 28 December across 102 designated townships in various Regions and States. International observer groups from Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Cambodia and Viet Nam have arrived in Yangon ahead of the vote.

They were welcomed at Yangon International Airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and region ministers, Russian Ambassador Mr. Iskander Azizov, and officials from the Union Election Commission, the Yangon Region Election Commission Sub-Office and concerned officials.
