Egypt’s President Sisi meets India’s Prime Minister Modi in Cairo

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at al-Itihadiya palace in Cairo during his two-day visit to the North African country, the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 1997.

The two sides signed an agreement to elevate the bilateral partnership to a “Strategic partnership”. In addition, three Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of agriculture, archaeology and antiquities and competition law were also signed between India and Egypt.
