Efforts for Educational Development: Union Minister makes inspections in Yangon Region

Union Minsiter for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe made inspections in Yangon Region. First, at the University of East Yangon, the Union Minister met with faculty members and stressed the importance of education for a country. 

He also said that education sector will improve only if teachers from universities and basic education teachers address the weakness of the sector.

He called on the faculty members to eliminate the rote memorization system, to improve skills and to have real knowledge of the subjects.

Regarding research, it’s the lifeblood of the university. Funds will be provided for libraries, the Union Minister added. And, the faculty members reported on requirements and the Union Minister fulfilled.

He also inspected the Thingangyun Education Degree College, No. 1 Basic Education High School (Latha), No. 1 Basic Education High School (Dagon) and No. 1 Basic Education High School (Tamwe), met with teachers and students and fulfilled the requirements presented.
