Efforts for Country: Acting President Meets Union Ministers, Chief Ministers

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Union Ministers and Region/State Chief Ministers and delivered an address on Thursday afternoon.

In his address, he stated that necessary actions must be taken to promote the socio-economic development of the State. Promoting the rural economy improve the country's economy, thereby simultaneously reducing poverty.

By striving for progress based on the agriculture and livestock sectors, the large industrial and service sectors will also develop. He stressed the need to establish and implement agriculture and livestock zones and the compulsory need to carry out livestock businesses. Regarding financial expenditure, he highlighted the necessity of spending according to the budgeted allocations when drawing up budget estimates. He also mentioned the importance of improving education standards, ensuring the provision of necessary medical equipment for hospitals, and carrying out road improvements for better transportation and communication.

Following this, Union Ministers and Region/State Chief Ministers clarified the correct and accurate acreage and yield of paddy cultivation and the status of efforts to meet the target goals; the conditions of efforts being made for accurate and swift commodity flow and price stability; the status of voter list accuracy and polling station planning to ensure the success of a free and fair multiparty democratic general election; and other related matters. Also, the situation regarding drug seizures, the seizure of illegal and duty-free goods, and the emergence of illegal online gambling and the measures to prevent and deter it were clarified.

Also, Vice Chairman of the Commission Vice Senior General Soe Win explained and discussed the need for officials to pay special attention to security during the campaigning period and the election stages.

During the upcoming election, attention must be paid to the accuracy of voter lists and ensuring that there are no errors in any sector. He explained the necessity of ensuring voter list accuracy across ministries and in the respective regions and states.

And, the Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission delivered a closing speech, emphasizing the critical importance of accurate voter lists during the election and other related matters.
