Education Sector: Fresher welcome at Magway Education Degree College

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin on Sunday attended the 2022-2023 academic year fresher welcome ceremony at the Magway Education Degree College.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister stressed that in line with today's era of education, the Ministry of Education has been developing four-year education degree college curriculums of international standards based on the Knowledge Standard Framework (TCSF) for teachers.

As students, they must study the concepts over a period of four years. The Government is encouraging and systematically promoting the education sector for the higher education of the entire nation. The Chief Minister also urged the students to do their best during the 4-year study.

This fresher welcome ceremony included entertainment programmes and prizes were awarded by the Chief Minister and many other officials. He also provided 1.5 million Kyats for teachers and students at this Education Degree College.

It’s learnt that the Magway Education Degree College offers 4-year B.A (Education) and B.Sc. (Education) courses, and there are opportunities to obtain Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree, Master's Degree (M.Ed.) and Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.).
