






Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, along with the Region ministers and relevant officials, visited and observed the ongoing Basic Education Teacher Diploma Course on Education and Teaching Methods at the High School in Myeik Township on April 23.
The course is designed to enhance the capabilities, teaching methods, problem-solving approaches, and collaborative practices of primary teachers, deputy primary teachers, and assistant primary teachers, in line with international education systems. It involves teaching and training in 16 specified subjects.
During the course, Region Chief Minister observed the teachers' training sessions and met with responsible officials to coordinate and address the course's requirements. He provided 1.5 million kyats in financial support for the course expenses, which was received by one of the officials.
The aforementioned course began on March 24 and is attended by a total of 680 primary teachers, deputy primary teachers, and assistant primary teachers. The training lasts for 49 days, with 43 days dedicated to practical hands-on sessions.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials observed the Summer Youth Drum and Bugle training being conducted at the No (2) Basic Education Hish school and provided financial support for the course. The Summer Youth Drum and Bugle is being held from April 18 to May 25, with 70 students participating, as learned.
