Editorial Team Meeting: Union Minister For Information Meets Sarpay Beikman Editorial Team

Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint met with Sarpay Beikman editorial team on Monday in Yangon.

In the meeting at the Printing and Publishing Department on Theinbyu Road, the Union Minister stressed course and training, and Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Fact Check to sharpen the skills, to complete the works in time and to publish quality books.

The meeting also discussed implementation of the guidance given by President U Win Myint when he visited Sarpay Beikman in November last year and also publication of the new Myanmar Encyclopedia, 100 Myanmar classics and Shwethway journal as well as increase in membership.

With the motto ‘Light, where Darkness was’, Sarpay Beikman was established on the 26th of August in 1947 under the guidance of the country's national leader Bogyoke Aung San.
